Veneers and Smile Makeovers in Sri Lanka: What to Expect Start to Finish

Veneers are one of the most common reasons AU/NZ patients reach out about treatment in Sri Lanka. Here’s what the process actually looks like, from first consultation to the finished smile.

Step 1: Consultation and shade planning

Before anything is prepared, we talk through what you want to change — shape, shade, symmetry — and take photos and impressions. This is also where we flag anything that needs addressing first, like gum health, so the final result actually lasts.

Step 2: Preparation and temporaries

A thin layer of enamel is prepared on each tooth, and temporary veneers are fitted so you’re never left without a functional, natural-looking smile while the permanent set is made.

Step 3: Fitting the final veneers

Once the permanent veneers are ready — whether porcelain or Emax — they’re checked for fit and shade before being permanently bonded. Small adjustments happen at this stage if anything isn’t quite right.

What this means for timing your trip

Veneers typically need at least two visits spaced a few days apart, which fits comfortably into a week-long trip with time to spare for sightseeing around Kandy in between.
